LumaFusion 2.0 is now available in the App Store. This is a massive new update that doubles the number of tracks for video and audio, streamlines the user interface, and much more.

Hello LumaFusion:

Long ago (in the digital world maybe a few years :D ) I believe that iMove or Final Cut had the ability to help photographers create slides shows by aligning photo play length to the period between markers. Do you think that this would be possible in LumaFusion. Basically the workflow was, add a song, add markers to the beat, select the pictures for the slideshow and drop them on the timeline. This was a great feature for creating slideshows quickly and efficiently. It might be another market for Luma.

Thank you,

Mark

I made a tutorial for LumaFusion that does exactly that. Take a look:

I hope it helps.

Yes I feel strongly about this. Whilst in7ermaster’s work around is great I believe many of us were very disappointed with the difficulty of using LumaFusion’s markers for beats. This common video editing requirement should be much much less time consuming.
Luma. Please consider simplifying this painful process. Even a button or tap to navigate directly to the next beat would be a start. Showing them on the timeline instead of all squashed up on the preview would also help. Sorry to be grumpy!

I’d envision a function in the jump controls that would allow toggling tracks that participate in the jumping, on and off. Markers would be one of those tracks.

So you could say for example that you want to jump only between markers, or just between videos in the main track, or audio clips in the track you designated for narration.

In7ermaster, thank you for your video. I had already reviewed it, it’s good but as others have said I am hoping for something more automated. Please see the videos below, yes they are old but the idea is the same.

Closeupsky,

Thanks! I know it's not the same as the automated workflow available in other editors. This is the closest I could get.

One of the thing that I enjoy about LumaFusion is pushing the boundaries and make the app do things that is not obvious it can do.
