From the description…. A throwback and nod to the opening title sequences of James Bond films and the day-glo colors of Peter Max. The figure appears and recedes from the swirling, watery background in four different scenes. I used LumaFusion’s blend modes to overlay the rotating figure from Pixite’s Matter app and to bring it to the foreground using keyframed opaque settings. And I created a blurred background layer by reversing the primary layer, then adding Gauss blur. This resulted in a gel color effect in the background.

I found the obj format files of the figure in CGTrader. I downloaded these files for free on my iPad. They were small enough to import into Pixite’s Matter app without crashing Matter. I used a black background in Matter in order to layer only the rendered video of the figure in LumaFusion. Matter allows you to choose what front image the figure uses for reflection. So sometimes I chose a still image from my camera roll which resembled the video background layer. Matter also allows you to choose whether the figurative image will be transparent or opaque. This selection works with and is affected by the ultimate blend mode selected in LumaFusion. If that makes sense.

The soundtrack is all Waldorf Nave with WiderTouch and AD480 reverb added in MultitrackDAW before exporting to LumaFusion.

I hope you enjoy watching and listening!

Peace!
Tom

Thanks Dave! The other thing I forgot to mention is that I rendered the video to my camera roll without the audio but with the saturation and vibrancy set at maximum. Then I created another project for that rendered video and again increased the saturation and vibrancy to the max which resulted, I think, in the Peter Max day-glo color effect.
