I always prefer the convenient camera in my pocket. I’ve found the video of the iPhone 12 I borrowed to be surprisingly better than my iPhone X. In particular the HDR option provides beautiful colours and realistic contrast in dappled or bright sunlight without any post processing. The stabilisation also seems a lot smoother so that for the first time I have been satisfied with panning shots. I even managed some almost floating footage of a cheeky bird flitting around me.
To my surprise I also found myself using the wide angle lens extensively.

One small problem. For some reason I can’t use an SD Card reader to transfer HDR videos to my iPad. I just seem to get the overexposed part rather than the processed HDR. Airdrop works fine.
