I shoot a lot on GoPro and a couple of DSLR cameras. getting that footage onto the iPad has always been long convoluted process.... Then I found this thing https://www.amazon.com/VOMHOME-Reader-L ... ard+reader You'll need the app from the App Store to make it work, but its been a godsend...... One thing I dont like about it, is my case interferes with it seating in the socket completely. Posting this info hoping it helps someone...... |

Hi everyone. Cardreaders, connected through lighting, have different firmware. This feature leads to different possibilities of equally looking devices. In addition, each device requires a compatible application, the full functionality of which is not published anywhere. Some applications have the ability to update the firmware of the device connected to the iPad / iPhone. This increases the usefulness of the device. Therefore, I have a request to all those who decide to share their successful experience in such an important business for us as detailed as possible:

I searched among a lot of similar card readers of the same type, which works with a periodically updated application. The seller did not indicate in the description of the card reader that there is an additional micro-USB connector.

The application is called iFlashDevice HD and is downloaded the first time you connect the card reader. It should be noted that I tried other similar applications with this card reader. They do not see it.

Finally about the unpleasant: the application is not yet optimized for iPad Pro 10.5. The first screen is not fited in the tablet field, and when I call the Share function so necessary to me, the application crashes. I wrote to the developer. I am sure that they will correct the mistake. While the errors are not fixed, I working through the iPhone, sending files to the cloud Documents6. This way they appear on the tablet without using a computer. I must add that the application has a function of sharing by SMB. The application can work with hidden files.
