If you save your videos to Photos you can now in ios15 change the date and location of the video in Photos itself without using a separate metadata app.
This is helpful because you might prefer the details to match the location and time of the subject rather than where and when you published the video, eg a holiday video.
Setting the location seems to require a text address but you can use the Maps app to visually find a location and copy its address to Photos. It seems a bit clunky but works.

Hmm. I’m also thinking that this could be used to sort source clips for a project. Create a custom album in Photos. In a custom album you can sort items by drag and drop into any custom order. Unfortunately LumaFusion doesn’t recognise this sort order but it might not be too hard to reset the time of each clip to consecutive minutes. Then LumaFusion can show them in time order.

Yep. That works. Could be useful for sorting projects with lots of clips that don’t have a convenient order. Dragging them along a long timeline isn’t as easy as sorting them in a page.

I’ve tentatively made a Shortcut which imports all the clips from the Photos album into LumaFusion Imported in the custom order, so the date doesn’t have to be changed. Seems to work but will work on it tomorrow

Thanks Dave.
It works well with lots of clips at least on a fast device. Shortcuts is a bit buggy though and so I don’t seem to be able to share the shortcut. It’s fairly easy to make though so if anyone wants a guide let me know.
Test2 is a Files folder in OnMyiPad/LumaFusion/UserMedia
