Hello all!
I would like to point out that even with the few bugs i had and so on I’m making with LumaFusion more videos than I did with my PC with much more expensive softwares, as far as productivity it’s currently my #1 software and I would like to contribute as much as i can.

I’m coming from years of work in music production, not electronic music but live instruments and singing.
I found that the audio workflow is OK or workable but i think that can be some improvement in this case.
Here’s my contribution from my experience:

As more vlogers are going to use mobile devices to edit stuff, An easy “hum” remover will be great - for example: one button low cut filter with only frequency control between 80hz to 200hz (and easy to scroll) I think that more that 80% of driving/car/environment Unwanted noises are there, it’s will also clear the way to use dynamic process after.

Easy parametric EQ - in my experience almost everything can be improved with a basic 4 bands parametric EQ as one unit:
Low self (freq/dB control) 0-200hz
Lowmid (freq/Q/dB) 200-2000hz
Highmid (freq/Q/dB) 2000-6000hz
High shelf (freq/dB) over 6000hz.

Can be more easy if possible to tune it virtually (see attached pic’).

As for a complete “rig” - usually few steups are the basics in soud editing, i know it’s not suitable for heavy sound editing so easy rig will be Low cut -> dynamics-> EQ.
The low cut will make it easy to adjust the dynamics process.
Other option instead of dynamics process can be (if saves cpu power):
Low cut->noise gate->compressor->EQ.
This is 99% of all need in vocals (vlogs) or even live concerts.

That’s for now, will update more soon.

Hello Miko_ha

thank you for your input on these issues. I will add them to our data base for feature requests and improvements.

Hi Miko_ha

Some good, useful, suggestions in there

One more suggestion:
Master track Audio effects.
I assuming that most of the users are using one device to take clips (camera/phone’s camera),
Usually it’s will be the same settings for the audio effects from few clips or even all of them.
Can be that using only one rig at the main output of the software’s sound mixer will be enough and even replacing clips/importing new to the same track or everywhere inside the multitrack will still keep the same audio settings and will be no need to set every clip separately.

Just tome illustrates my idea.

Thanks for the suggestions, and the effort to show how they could be implemented in the UI. We definitely plan to add better UIs for effects as soon as possible, and track and master effects in the future.

I was working today on voice over for a video recorded directly over LumaFusion.
I have to say it’s useless and I will record it again on other software/cubase and do the manipulations (compressors/E.Q and so) outside lume, the audio effects are way out of date and not really understood or have a basic user interface that you can actually work with.
Usually i can go forward inside if i had the option to use 3-4 parametric E.Q one after the other to work on few bands, the NbandEQ is not really good in term of GUI and was better if the parametric was with 3-4 bands inside.
I think that huge part of video editing it’s the audio editing and it’s really limiting my work....

Better audio effects are on the long list of things to be worked on

I have to add my voice here, almost all of the audio manipulation tools are basically useless, not only you must have a deep understanding of what they actually do to use them, but they seems to be always a “sideways square block into round hole” kind of way to achieve what is really needed. I think that the original poster got it exactly right, I need simple tools alongside the complex ones to do audio editing FAST, most times I work on the road with MoJo clips, if I wanted to do ultra refined stuff I’d go home to my MacPro and Resolve....
Please, please do something about it! I really love LT, but the audio panel has to be completely redone.
Plus, this is also a really old thread! Is there some kind of problem I am not aware of?
