Hey guys, I’m using storyblocks music and have a track I like, problem is it is too short. It’s an electronic music track, so, I can easily find a “splice point” where it would be unnoticeable that the track is repeating itself. The problem is when I cut the second track at the beat where I want it joined I am left with a split second gap of silence....is there a way without going into another editing program to edit these together without the gap?
I know I can start the second track on a separate music timeline and try to line them up but the edit isn’t tight enough using this method.

Hi Tommyt

Have you zoomed right in on the timeline? You can do it frame by frame

Yes Dave....there will still be a gap. Just to be clear, this is two separate music tracks trying to be butted tightly against each other on the same music track (timeline). Getting rid of that gap is the goal.

And you can hear that?

It's so that the ends can be grabbed

It's the same for a video track

My bad Dave....of course I know the ends can be grabbed and when tapped I can see how close the tracks are butted together. What happened was the edit - there was a slight dip in the music right at that point and I had assumed it was the silence between the two tracks.....new pair of reading glasses in order!
Get some sleep Dave - sorry to be bugging you at this time on a Friday night, better still, go grab a pint!
