Hi guys, first time posting here, anyway..... I shot some Mavic Pro footage at 30fps and dropped them into a Lumafusion 30fps timeline. The footage plays perfect on my iPad Pro with 250 gigs of free space, however, when imported into Lumafusion the footage is choppy to the point of being unusable. Finding this strange as I have made projects previously using the drone with the same settings as above....any suggestions?
Thanks in anticipation of your help

Converting clips to HEVC might help.

You could also try reducing the preview quality in Settings

Hi Tommyt

Welcome to the forum

Good suggestions by Mark

If it worked before though something has changed. I made 2 videos yesterday shot on my Mavic Pro which worked fine - I know that doesn’t help much

Is the rendered output choppy or just the preview?

I seem to recall that some Mavics can record in H265 now - I will have to power mine up to check

If you haven’t got any projects you need to keep you could try deleting and reinstalling the app. It doesn’t happen much with the newest versions of IOS but occasionally the ‘Apple iOS foundation’ gets stuck

(Just remember if you delete the app you will lose ALL projects)

Thanks guys for the responses - Happy all is well but these will be tips to keep up my sleeve if it should happen again.
Dave, out of curiosity - when you say “the rendered output” or “the preview” what do you mean?
Are clips on the timeline “rendered” and clips just previewed in the preview window not rendered? This would be another good concept for me to understand.
Thanks again guys

The final movie is not ‘rendered’ until you output (export) it to its final location

What you see on your iPad is ‘previewed’ in real time

You can change the preview quality in global settings as Mark suggested (it’s towards the bottom)

Hey Dave I thought that but at the cost of sounding like a complete idiot I was willing to pose the question rather than taking the risk of maybe having it wrong.
Thank you for the help mate - much appreciated and thank you and the team for a great product and your patience with fools like me !
