Noise filter and compressor/normalize audio are arguably the most basic and important features in any video editing app. Bad audio can make even the best videos unbearable.
The single most useful feature for me in FCPX is the "Voice Over Effect" which combines Equilizer, De-Esser, and Compressor. I always adjust to auto-gain -6 DB (-0 DB if audio levels are to low) and set the limiter to -2 DB. Then check 50 percent noise reduction. Although rare I can even use eveloper/expander filters to fix an echo for those.
It has been over a year since we were promised third-party audio units (AU) and it was pulled just as quickly.
I don't know about the rest of you but I have lost patience with using 4 different apps on my iPad to make videos.
The only reason I use LumaFusion is for the audio levels on the timeline. Can anyone suggest an app with audio levels on the timeline? I sure don't see any others. Well iMovie does have it in landscape (iPad only) and as I recall it so had a noise filter however it's veryimited otherwise.
PS a stabilizer would be a nice bonus. Not essential these days since many cameras and phones have excellent OIS, EIS, or both.
Thanks, Young
