I’m having troubles with export resolution. I have video projects that have 2.39:1 ratio but export options are limited to a few height resolution formats that fit my ratio but take the height as a base (which doesn’t make much sense in my opinion as video ratios change often by cropping height resolution on 720p, 1080p or 4K footage). The problem is that my video clip’s resolution is 1920 x 800 (basically 1080p but top and bottom is cropped), but export settings only take into account height, so I have only 2 viable options: 1720 x 720 (Less resolution) or 2582x1080 (too much resolution)... there should be the option of either use any resolution we want (so to fit perfectly the resolution of our clips) or at least an option/setting to export resolution based on the resolution width, not the height.
Another option is to create the working project as 16:9 format so being able to export with 1920px width but that would export a video with black bars top and bottom, which is not desired.

And by the way, as I said my clip is 1920x800 which is 2.40:1 ratio, but there is no option to have a 2.40:1 projects, I see then that ratio formats for projects is also limited. We can’t get precise resolution based on these limitations. Think about smartphones screens that have a variety of ratios and resolutions, we may want to fit footage to specific screens.

I would appreciate if you could update the app so exporting resolution is less limited and troublesome. Thanks.

What equipment are you using that produces that aspect ratio?
