Filmed 4000 x3000 on a gopro hero 9 and while I can preview the video, I can’t view or edit it in the timeline.

Am I missing something obvious?

The hashed bars are an indication that the footage has not yet imported into LumaFusion for editing

You could also try to 'optimise and consolidate' the project

(not all footage is 100% IOS compatible)

you can't optimise and consolidate because the video is not part of the project. it is missing media

the footage has not been and never will be imported, at least the way I am trying to do it. But it is not waiting to import it simply doesn't.

lumafusion will support video formats that are not IOS compatible, example 5K from a gopro hero 9. Apparently 4000 x 3000 from a gopro hero 9 is not one of them.

Thanks,

David

At the moment :)

How are you trying to import it?

As a file through a folder. As you can see above.

Note, it does play in the preview window but not from the timeline,

Yeah, I thought that but your comment seemed to say you might have been trying a different way of some sort

I doubt this will work (and is not the way to do it) but can you manually copy the file to Video GoPro directory using the files app?

Might be worth a try

Well I did get it to work, I noticed I wasn’t able to import any files so I deleted and reloaded Luma fusion. Now it supports all resolutions and frame rates on the gopro hero 9.

Including 5k and 4000 x 3000

But now I see the limitation is the output.

Lumafusion limits the vertical height to 2160 pixels, in all aspect ratios.

So 4000 x 3000 becomes
