 Post subject: Disintegrate Effect

I am trying to work out how to do a masking effect like in the attached GIF (created in After Effects). but I am sturggling being new to LumaFusion, any help would be appreciated :-)

You can do something like that with cropping.
The main track contains footage with the subject.
The track above it (topmost), footage of the same place but without the subject.

Then animate the cropping on the topmost track, using key frames, from a small area to an area that covers the whole subject that is in the footage in the main track.

In the cropping settings increase corner radius to 100 To get an oval area and Edge Softness to heat a feathering effect.

See example attached. Sorry for the quality of the footage. I just grabbed the first thing I found in my office.
