Hi everyone,

Here is the latest 'Bangkok Explorer' vid - introducing people to a hidden fish and chips restaurant on the roof of a Thai man's house in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand.

It was shot on a Fuji XT3 and Osmo Pocket and edited on LumaFusion for iPhone and iPad.

I experimented using the lower thirds pack offered by RobHK Vlogs and I'm very happy with the results.

All comments, advice, and criticism welcome!

Thanks for watching!

Good editing

But why is it all shot in portrait mode?

Thanks, Dave - I’m glad you liked it : )

As for the portrait mode – I’m not really a big fan either.

I’ve been doing a bit of an experiment with vids on my Facebook page, though, and it seems that the portrait format drives the most views/engagement (as it occupies the most screen real estate when people are scrolling).

I have one more video to come in this format, and then I will revert back to shooting landscape for YouTube, and then uploading a cropped-in, portrait version for Facebook and Instagram.

Well, at least that’s the plan. Fingers crossed it works out ok!
