I really miss jog wheel in clip edit.
It could be adjusted much more precisely before.
But Now
Every time my cursor get close to the key frame,
it stick to keyframe automatically.
Its really annoying.

Any chance to get back jog wheel?
Or some kind of selectable option for jog wheel?

Yeah, but the delay on it really eats a lot of time when you edit tons and tons of keyframes for vfx. Would love the option to have both modes!

Glen, do you use a keyboard? (I don't)

If you could, would this help with your workflow?

(I know it says 'Timeline' but it's the same in the 'Clip Editor')

Yeah... Just went back in again to try it again and it is horribly slower to edit. Trying to match things to audio to the frame is soo tedious without the old jog wheel. I need to be able to scan the playhead back and forth quickly at the frame level. Honestly another variation that would use the same method would be to allow zooming in on the timeline in edit mode like in the main timeline. Then you could determine how many frames you are scrubbing based on how zoomed you are. Again this wouldn't have to change the behavior of the long press, but would add back the ability to QUICKLY move the playhead around for inserts when you need detailed keyframe edits.

That still misses the point. It's the smooth motion of moving back and forth quickly that lets me see the visual cues and line up what i want with the audio as well. This new method destroys that ability. Skipping a specific amount of frames wouldn't give live feedback of the frames where the edits need to happen either.

I see what you're saying for the type of video you're creating

Thought it might be worth a try

Example: I want to quickly scrub back a little, play, scrub back play, scrub back play, on the same part over and over while listening and watching to see the exact frames i hear the audio hit at. This new method makes that completely unworkable and takes you out of any creative flow. Other reasons as well but as i'm doing it right now this is a good way to see it.

And another big one... Now that it snaps to the closest keyframe, i can't easily and quickly scrub on the timeline either to just a few frames before or after. I have to long press and wait, seconds and seconds and seconds to do what took a half second. AND the backwards frames option is jerky and much slower than going forward.

I really liked how well this worked before for detailed edits. It was a joy to edit. Now i'm just wanting to give up.
