Magical Rob. We don’t have foxes but have seen one or two in England, just a bit more distant. Mind you I have some footage of a puma which was very very distant. Probably a good thing!

Hello Mark,

I kind of had you in mind when I made this video.
Thinking I wish I had a zoom and I wish had my tripod and step up rings.
(The bee was too fuzzy and the robin too far away.)

I very much missed my animals and macro filming, which I have now noticed.
As I have more structured time to spend on projects I like.
As I do not need to commit to work schedules.
It allows my mind to wonder and spend more time watching the beauty in our world.
Right down to those tiny flowers 1/2 cm across.

Did you make a video of the puma?
I like to see please.

Regards Rob

Hi Rob
Here’s the “puma” video. The tiny puma is seen very briefly at 2:02. At the time we started running to get closer. It was probably over 500m away but had gone by the time we got across the valley. Some other hikers said it had walked right past them.
This was a bus trip we did in Patagonia. There were only four of us on the bus/truck and our guides loved walking and wildlife and were fantastic. Patagonia isn’t the warmest place in the world but it’s huge and really spectacular.
You’ll see some foxes in the video along with other wildlife. The condor “flying” at the end I faked but the earlier ones were real. I used my 10x zoom camera for a lot of the wildlife shots. There is one scene of a swimming penguin taken from a ferry across the Magellan Strait that I had to stabilise frame by frame in LumaFusion ... uCDFwQAxVA

Hope you can fly again soon.
