Hello,

I have been transitioning to LumaFusion slowly at the start of February this year in order to be able to edit on the move as I am now travelling for several months!

A learning curve and a few functions that I miss but I am happier at every edit of the results and like to be challenged to find work arounds.

I’m so impressed with the export times and real time playback capabilities of this software on iPad Pro, faster than the MacBook!!

Here are some of my latest videos from my YouTube channel, I hope you will enjoy them, and if you want to see my first edit on LumaFusion, I’ll put it at the bottom so hopefully you’ll see a progression!

Let me know what you think :)

Happy viewing!

And my first one on LumaFusion

As a newbie, aside from the length, I really cannot see the difference technically between final cut and lumafusion. Are there?

But what is dope in the first two video was the local chanting. It makes the video rooted more to the place. If it was bookened between videos, it would be nice. But that is jest me. :D

Thanks for the feedback, I also though the chanting was worth putting in the videos to get a better feel of the place and atmosphere. I will need to get a proper microphone someday!

The 2 main things that I miss from FCPX are:
- barrel distortion and fish eye correction ( Drone D-Log and GoPro non linear shots)
- smoother speed ramps and higher acceleration values beyond x6

To compare, this video below has all the corrections applied when the horizon looks too curved and speed ramps are also used:

I see.

I saw somewhere that changing the go pro setting from wide to linear removes fish eye. Is this true or have you tried it? Aere the changes too significant ?

Up to hero 7 you can use linear which removes the fish eye but reduces the field of view and is only available in 2.7K. Hero 8 now offers that in 4K.

Will have those thoughts in mind.
