On Saturday 23rd March 2019, approximately one million people marched from Hyde Park Lane to Parliament Square, asking the government to Put it to the People, i.e. to have a People's Vote on whether we should accept Theresa May's Brexit deal or remain in the UK.
This is the video I made at the time.
I storyboarded it the night before the march in MS OneNote. On the day, I shot it using my Sony A6000 camera at 30 fps in 16:9 ratio and slowed the clips to 80% for a 24 fps film look displaying in a 2.39:1 widescreen cinema ratio. I put the camera's SD card into my Asus AiDrive and copied the files to the HD, then used the AiDrive app on my iPad to import the clips to Lumafusion. The music is "Dystopia" from Storyblocks on one audio track, overlaid with a recorded clip of some drummers at the march looped over and over again.
I like this way of working as I can shoot the clips and output a finished video very quickly, in 1-3 hours or so.
EDIT: I'd be grateful if someone would explain how I can embed a video in a post. Thanks.
