LumaFusion 1.7 is now available in the App Store. This update includes great new features like search and sort in the library, soft edges and curved corners in cropping, and our new integration with Storyblocks, a great royalty-free library of video, audio and sound effects. A sample of clips are included free, with a low-cost subscription available in-app for access to the full library

As popular YouTube vlogger Casey Neistat likes to say, story is EVERYTHING. And he is 100% right about it.

We can use a tactic called the 5-shot method to take ordinary video and turn it into some extraordinary.

The formula is:

Wide Shot (WS) – Where – Shows where the action is taking place

Medium Shot (MS) – What – Moves the story forward/Captures action

Close-up (CU) – Who – Telling details, face, objects

Point of view (PoV) – How – What the subject is watching

Reaction (RS) – Why – Shows the effect of the action on others
