I am experimenting with dolly zoom trying to get a good feel for it. I wish there was an overlay grid so that you can keep the same reference spots of the subject so that there won't be too much shifting as you can see in this clip. If anyone has some suggestions, please feel free to offer them up. THanks

I remember this suggestion. I will have to try it. My question would be, since the grid is on a separate track, wouldn't it disappear when I go to edit the main track to do the dolly zoom?

Nope. You can still see the grid while editing.
