I thought I’d offer some viewpoints on sound design...
One of many big pluses in Luma Fusion is its capability for layering video and sound. Particularly the blacksmithing segment (the first part of this video) leverages the layering possibilities, since the sounds of the forge could change dramatically from minute to minute, ruining the audio continuity. So the music, the b roll footage placed into interviews, etc, all merges together easily. This had been a colossal pain in the tuchas on the iPad before Luma Fusion. Not in Pinnacle Pro, or iMovie or any of the other predecessors has this kind of thing been possible on a mobile platform without some nasty workarounds.
Also, I use the automation curves and keyframes for track volume. Ducking is nice, but I leverage the precise control that keyframes offers. It’s desktop-grade.
I’m very happy to use this software on small projects now — not least due to the polish you can get in the sound.
