This video is dedicated to the brave astronauts who have inspired dreams of space flight for all generations. The soundtrack is comprised only of GarageBand loops including some NASA vocalizations from Apple’s latest ToyBox pack. The video consists of stills animated with Rollworld and enhanced with additional effects and color filters. Some custom objects of space vehicles were imported into Pixite’s Matter app for additional video scenes.
I included some discussion in the YouTube description about Space Shuttle Columbia’s final mission. One of the curious physical phenomena was the concept of terminal velocity. This is the speed at which objects stop accelerating when under the influence of earth’s gravity. In the case of Columbia’s final mission, one of the astronauts took two CDs by the band, Deep Purple, onboard with her. These CDs were later recovered intact in Texas after a 29 mile free fall to earth after the explosion.
I hope you enjoy watching!
