Great tutorial.

A small tip I have gained recently using Affinity Photo, there is a refine selection tool in the selection persona. It’s the last icon down the left so instead of erasing the excess background manually you can simply highlight the edges and it will remove the excess for you, see the video below

Hi Andii,

Yes I do use it and make mention about it in my tutorial, but it’s not perfect. So after I’ve used the refine selection tool I also manually remove anything in excess that it has not picked up on. It’s really good with clean lines but not when the background and foreground have similar colors or blend in a way.
