Hi,

Just returned from our holiday in Singapore and Malaysia. I shot footage with my iPhone 7 and a GoPro 4 Silver.
While travelling to the next location I created travel videos with LumaFusion on my iPad Pro 10.5".

Here's the result:
Singapore & Malaysia (YouTube Playlist)

Would love to hear your comments and tips for next time.

Francois

Great work. I really enjoyed your Singapore video even though it's not familiar. Good variety of camera work and nicely paced editing with good smooth effects and timing. I really should spend more time on my travel videos. Editing back home rather than on the day is way better and helps extend the holiday but you managed it while traveling! Maybe long flights?

There were traveling days between the destinations (mostly by bus). It took me about 2 hours per video, to collect, preview, select and edit the footage. Most of the work is editing on music...
I find it easier to edit quickly after, since I can still remember what kind of footage and b-roll I shot and what parts I want to appear in the final video. I hate it when you come back from holiday and it still takes days (or even weeks) to create a travel video. :)

Francois, you very well assembled both video and sound in the clips.
It is perceived easily and pleasantly.
As a teaser of something more detailed and interesting. ;)

I do not like to follow trends and rules. They quickly lose relevance or become bored when the majority follows only them.
Try to alternate the rapidly changing strokes of b-roll with longer main scenes that accentuate attention and give a time to contemplate and enjoy the details. It is also very important to "pull" the image into a stronger dynamic with the correct parameters of the primary survey and subsequent grading (note the screenshots; these moments can easily be corrected in the LF).

Use Filmic Pro. This application will definitely improve your video. The main thing is to keep the minimum possible ISO. 200 is the limit for weak light.

But it's still better to perform the grading on the computer (this is a process that requires power that are not yet available for tablets), although the base one can be done in LF v1.4 or with VideoGrade :)
Much should become easier and more convenient in the next version of LF.

And, as usual, people say in such cases, keep up the good work and fun! :D
