By the way, the new version of the card reader does not yet have the same functionality as the previous, but the developers promise to extend the application's capabilities.

Hi lumaluke, thanks for the info.

I've seen the leef card reader before but didn't need it that much to invest $50 into one.
As for the zoom, connecting it to my iPhone to use as an external mic is not an option for me as I want to use my iPhone as the camera and I don't want to be tethered to the phone.
I want to find a way to get the files from my Zoom onto my ipad as easily as possible without having to use my laptop. My iPad pro 9.7 handles 4k video files better than my 2011 Macbook Pro

I'll just have to wait for the card reader to arrive and I'll see how I get on with it.

Good stuff here! I have also been ripping my hair out trying to figure out a "easy" way to upload audio files to use in editing with LumaFusion. I ended up downloading the app Documents which gives you a good filing system. I was then able to use my RavPower Filehub Wi-Fi card and thumb drive reader to import my saved audio files from thumb drive to Documents. I can then send them to LumaFusion. Not quite as elegant as I would like, but seems to be working well. I can also send the files I create in GB directly to LumaFusion or to Final Touch for mastering first.

Hi Jimmy

I use documents as well. I saw it recommended in another thread here. It's a fantastic app.
I looked into that RavHub, it sure seems like a nifty piece of kit.
I'm choosing to explore the slightly cheaper option with a Chinese wifi card reader and I'll plug it int a battery bank that I already have.

That was awesome!! Well written and put together. Covered a lot of ground, gave and showed the particulars of the product. Well done!

and his back drop could have been lifted from Bozeman.... lots of mtn bikers here, and log cabins everywhere.

10 minutes of raw footage down to 1:38.... Gotta ask, how long idd it take to edit?

Hi dan_house,

If you noticed I had an ipad on the counter beside me.
That had all the info in bullet points for me to look at in between cuts so i could get all the measurements and weights of the product correct.
With me making mistakes and saying everything a few times to get it right and coherent (I have a habit of speaking very quickly and can be hard to understand), the a roll was about 6 minutes long and then I probably spent 4-5 minutes getting the b roll.
All together probable around 10-11 minutes of actual filming.

As for editing, I was doing it bits at a time at home each time I had 2 minutes of peace from the kids, so I'm not totally sure how long it took me.
If I sat down it would probably only take me 10-15 minutes to edit. It's a pretty simple video and I only had to cut the bits of me reading my notes, then drop the b-roll ontop.
