I did search the forums first here, but couldn't find what I am looking for.

I know I can backup to iCloud Drive or any other drive to save my work, but I'm wondering if there is a way to just have any of my projects backup automatically.

What happens if my iPad bites the dust and I didn't backup manually? Does all my work just disapear?

Also, as far as I can tell, any backup is NOT editable. Meaning, when I put it back into Luma, all the sections are fused as one...right? So then, unless it saves as an editable file with all the sections as they were, it's useless.

FYI, I am not very tech savy, so it could be I just don't know enough.

Please help!

Hi Zynnia

There is no 'full project' automatic backup at the moment

You can back your projects and media up two ways:

In Share / Export choose LumaFusion Project Package
Next select your backup destination
Then choose either:
Full Original Media - this backs everything up for that project but results in a large file
or
Trimmed Media - this will result in a smaller file with a couple of seconds at either end of your clips

Both will allow you to carry on where you left off - it does NOT produce 'all sections fused as one'

Full Media will allow you to make more / bigger edits but that is offset by the backup file size

The User Guide should help you:

Thanks!
I didn't realize what you said about the full edit thing.
Now I understand better.
