It’s probably been covered, but I’ve searched the internet and it comes up with so many things that dont quite answer my question!

I recently filmed a catwalk show at a fashion event. Which means there’s crowds cheering for atmosphere AND music from a DJ. So that would i guess be a copyright issues for putting online. I could replace the soundtrack with something else but then i loose the crowd reactions etc.

Or does it come under fair use? Is there a solution?

With YouTube, it seems to depend which way the wind is blowing on the day

Unless you're happy with the possibility of it being taken down ... at some point ... maybe, then use royalty free stuff

(I think you knew that)

Hello BigRedJ,

In my experiences FB say what the hell.
YouTube if a none commercial account, YT will say a copyright been issued and advertising will be in place.
If you are a YT commercial account copyright issued with a right to respond within a time frame.

I have a none commercial YT and a commercial YT accounts, with a commercial YT. If I use storyblocks audio, I am issued a copyright issue from YT and file a claim “stop it” then issue a ID from storyblocks the copyright issue is removed.
YT also suggest why not use our audio tracks to avoid these issues in future video’s.

So give it a go BigRedJ and let us know your findings please.

Regards Rob
