Is it in the works to be able to keep footage on an external ssd and edit from it when iPad os comes out?

Yes, but don't expect it as soon as ios13 is released - it will be added when it has been tested and is reliable

Will there be a way to beta test the functionality as it comes out? I am running the the iOS 13 public beta right now and am drooling over being able to edit everything off of my external hard drive.

Contact support at

support@luma-touch.com

Tell them what you can bring to the party and include a link to this thread would be my suggestion

I’m seeing conflicting info about what I’m about to ask. Whatever clarification the forum can provide would be appreciated!

When using an external WiFi drive with LumaFusion, does the program make you transfer an entire raw clip or just the selected portion onto the iPad. I have quite a bit of raw footage that I hope won’t all need to live on the iPad.

Speaking of external support, is it only compatible with Apple-based products such as Mac-series computers, or can you store data on a Windows or Linux-based computer? Because I'd like to use LumaFusion for my job as well; part of it consists in visiting real estate like French Riviera houses to offer insurance packages for them, and this is linked to both Luma and external support. The former because I'd like to use it to make videos of the places to send them to the central decision-makers quickly, and the second because I have an old laptop running Windows 8.1 that I carry around during such trips for both professional reasons (working on documents, videoconferences etc) and personal ones (like playing games or watching movies at the hotel in the evening  ).
So, I'd like to know if I can store videos made on LumaFusion on this computer and send them to my company like this.

It depends on the drive...if it's WD Passport Passport, then yes, the whole clip transfers. If it's GnarBox, only the portion you select.
