Post subject:  Audio sync, and frame rate

Planning to do a video project with two videos: a screen recording, and an external video. Have tried something similar and had sync issues in the past. (Though that was in FCP)

Here’s the issue:

* Ipad screen recording is 30 fps, but I believe it’s variable
* External DSLR will record in 29.97 fps
* External iphone video would be 30 fps, variable

What’s the best way to avoid sync errors when combining this footage? I had thought of using my iphoen to get around the issue, but I’m not sure how mixing two variable clips works. Also not sure how Luma handles variable fps video.

Anyone have thoughts on this? I could probably get around it with handbrake on a mac, but I’m wondering if there is an ipad only workflow. (Ipad + DSLR or iphone for recording me, that is)

I would set my project to the frame rate that I had the most footage of

I wouldn’t bother with handbrake for that difference in FPS personally
