Already can’t wait for version 2. It was very mean to publish a locked topic with a list of the features. I immediately checked the App Store to see if it was out but no. Sigh

“Hopefully very soon approved for the App Store” meaning it’s been submitted and you’re just waiting on Apple? Or that you’re hoping to submit to the App Store soon? I seriously can’t refresh the App Store fast enough in anticipation of that little red icon showing up to let me know Christmas came early this year...

In all seriousness, a huge thanks to you and the team. LumaFusion is already an incredible product. Version 2.0 combined with the iPad Pro’s new ability to (finally) read from SD cards and thumb drives is going to be world-changing. I can finally pull videos straight from my Sony cameras onto my iPad and, with all the new bells & whistles in LumaFusion 2.0, I am seriously excited to see the possibilities.

Actually, the ipad pro can already read SD cards. I've been pulling video from my gopro's micro SD card and raw images from my Nikon's compact flash card using a reader. I can also pull it directly from the camera.

Yes, I know, but you missed the part where I said “Sony cameras.” ;) I could pull stuff from SDs previously as well...for other cameras, drones, etc. Sony was “special”, however, in the way it named/encoded the files making it a major pain to get them on the iPad. In iPad OS, though, I can just pop the SD card from my camera in to the reader/hub for my iPad Pro and *boom* all the video clips appear and can be pulled over directly. No settings changes, using my MBP as an intermediary, etc.

It is always Sony.... ;).

Have you tried iPad OS with a Sony camera?

edit: looks like it isn't working yet

Yes, I have and it works great (or at least worked great for me). I’ve been able to pull the SD cards right out of my Sony cams, plug them into my USB-C hub from Hyper on my iPad Pro, navigate the 13 levels of hell...err, the three folders down to the clips, and pull them right over to the Files app on the iPad. The transfer is zippy. In fact, I’m working on a video right now using clips that I pulled over to my iPad directly from the SD card just yesterday. Maybe the errors Dan ran into have to do with whatever device/dongle he’s using to try to pull the clips over. :?: Regardless, I have definitely been able to get it to work and it has been fantastic.
