This may help others re speeds over wifi local area network and wired possible speeds with WD mycloud drive.
It does not include speeds for IOS devices, so I suggest prediction of slower wifi transfer speeds.

I have managed to have some very nice people using Wd my cloud to make some tests re transfer of data over LAN using wifi.

Asus AC1900 router
Laptop 28 megs read write

Linksys AC5000 MU-MIMO (Model EA9500) Gigabit Router
desktop computer over wifi, (5GHz band) 73 megs read.

No IOS data however,

WiFi AC is generally much faster than using WiFi N when transferring files to/from the WD My Cloud.

I am using Mac book pro and iPad both 2016 models which I think is 2015 tech, so probably only WiFi N.

I did find out you can buy a plug in ethernet port adapter for the iPad wow so speeds would be very quick.
Then I again may as well go desktop and sit in a office :)

Regards Rob

I spoken to sky, they were are very helpful as the person was off script and listen !

So bottom line I not allowed a Sky Q hub as it for sky tv, this requires fibre.
We not allowed fibre so no Q hub.

However I can have a looks like a Q hub that you think was a Q hub.

So I now have Ac 5 GHz etc, test with iPad Pro and app file browser tops 8/9 megs that’s a increase from 3/4 megs transfer over LAN (no cables wifi only )

I made the test using both routers 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz so yes I have an increase.
Gone from my shoe lasses tied to being able to walk :)

Just need to be able to trot now, other WD people using LAN over wifi claim 76 megs.

All my tests are using iPad Pro as I wish to implement LumaFusion interface using WD drives and synology box.

Regards Rob
