So yesterday it was in mail and I tested it out. All ports are working. But like Luke said, you can't connect a HDD to it because of iOS. I hope it will change with iOS13. But whats really convient is the fact, that you can connect all your accessories. Like Audio Interface, SD-Cards, HDMI-Cable for Monitor out and USB-C for charging. Whats really cool and unique is the possibility to connect now 3,5mm Headphones.

All in all I like the product. I backed the kickstarter campaign and I am one of the "early birds". I'm from germany this is because my mail had to go through customer clearence. But all was fine, no problems at all.

If you have any further questions, let me know :)

Actually, I said already that there is a way to use a connected HDD, SSD, CF, etc with a small hack:
https://forums.luma-touch.com/viewtopic ... 946#p22946

Thus, using this Hyper Drive, a 1.47GB video file is imported into the iPad Pro in approximately 26 seconds from ExFAT Hitachi HDD 5K750 with external USB3.0 enclosure connected to the USB3.0 port of this hub.

Oh interesting! Thanks Luke. Didn't saw this! Sorry for the missunderstanding.

But what I don't understand, this "hack" is for the adapter you mentioned in this linked post or? Because when you add a HDD via USB on the iPad Pro it will not be recognized...

Or do I miss something?

@baum2k
To begin with, try to create on any HDD (formatted on a Windows 8 PC and up in ExFAT) a structure exactly like in my screenshot. And connect such a disk to the iOS device. The Photo.ipa import wizard will start.

Why format in ExFAT should be on Windows? - The fact is that ExFAT formatted for macOS is not defined for Windows. On the contrary, it works universally under both platforms.
Files placed in this structure should be named only in capital letters and numbers (the underscore between them is still allowed). And in the amount of strictly 8.3 (DOS). For example - SMB_0001.MOV

The advantage of this preparatory work is that this disk works on recording in all desktop systems without additional drivers and allows you to write files of more than 4 GB, overcoming the limitations of the FAT32 format.
Moreover: such a disc works great under Android TV.

All this is true for any media that can be connected and formatted.

Try it and have fun :)

NB: I hope you did not forget to connect the media to the hub, powered from an external power supply.

Thank you for the explaination! The only thing that is missing is a windows pc :D

I only have an iMac and my iPad Pro 2018 :)

So I think I will wait for iOS13 and hope that they will implement external drive support

You don't have to wait and you can do it on the iMac. It is enough to install Parallels and under it - Windows 8.1 or 10. Even there is no need for BootCamp. ;)
You can also format the disk on any available PC (for example, on a friend’s computer).
