Mic's

As we approach the next probable iPad Pro 3 - some suggest no head phone jack.

Some say don't worry apple will provide a adapter, we will see the outcome.

What I had planned to do was buy "Sennheiser Momentum 2.0" as a person I know has these headphones.

He rated the incoming call function and his voice is clear.

Popped down to my local Hi Fi shop, they sat me in the quite room to test.

Bear in mind these Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 cost now £199 and were £380
I compared these to a bluetooth head phones I bought £24 a year ago. The most uncomfortable head phones ever, after 30 mins that is.

In coming calls no one can hear me, however I did try to compare with a hardwired cable, the results were somewhat surprising.

I use the "Røde VideoMic Me-L" microphone which has a Lightning connector and it also has a mini-jack connector so that you can use this to monitor the sound. Its working good, as for a subsitute for a regular headphones when listening to music or when editing, i have not tried that. It may only let you hear the audio if using the microphone?, Hm, i have to test that now i see.

Okay Rob, here ya go. I made a little video of me recording a clip on my phone using the Røde Videomic ME-L. I monitored the audio levels with my headphones. And I edited the video in LumaFusion on my Iphone. This was actually the first video I have ever made in LumaFusion. :)
And while i edited the video in LumaFusion on my phone, i had the microphone attatched in the lightningport, and my headset plugged in the mini-jackport at the back of the microphone, so that i could hear the audio on my headset while editing.

I actually can then use my mini-jack headset on my Iphone which has no mini-jack port to listen to music and such as well. Just discovered that now, so that is an extra bonus. Of course to do that i have to have my mic plugged in, but oh well. :)

Cool 😎 sounds very clear.
Also your voice so smooth, I can imagine a children’s story audio book.

Wait a minute maybe a video coming into focus here, ideas forming.
How about a bit of fun, need a short story.
Work together and make a joint video?

probably animation.

Regards Rob

Thank you Bob! Even though i dont really like to hear my own voice. And im sure that there are better voices out there, with less accent than mine as well. :) Im kinda in a editing limbo now, just waiting for the new Ipads to get out (know more on october 30th), then i will order one. I then have to learn Lumafusion with all its bells and whistles. I have lots of footage recorded and many projects to edit, so for now i dont think i will commit to any collaborate work for the moment. But thanks anyway! :)
Keep up the good work on your animation videos.
