I was trying to explain that when you open up any app that isn’t compatible with IOS multitasking (e.g., Affinity Photo), it will terminate an active video rendering session in LumaFusion.
LumaFusion must be kept in the foreground while you are rendering a video. If during rendering, you open up another app, the LumaFusion app is sent to the background thus interrupting the rendering process and you have to start over again.
Any two apps that support IOS multitasking can be open in the foreground at the same time. Therefore you can have LumaFusion and one other app open on the screen at the same time.
There are many apps that support multitasking. LumaFusion, Safari, Photos, Files, Mail, Messages, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

P.S. It would be nice though if Affinity Photo supported iOS multitasking.
