LumaFusion 1.7 is now available in the App Store. This update includes great new features like search and sort in the library, soft edges and curved corners in cropping, and our new integration with Storyblocks, a great royalty-free library of video, audio and sound effects. A sample of clips are included free, with a low-cost subscription available in-app for access to the full library

Hi everyone,

My name is Jonah and I will be traveling to Japan in a few days to spend one year as an exchange student (I’m saying this to give some context :D ) I want to take my GoPro hero 6 for Vlogging and my iPad Pro for editing video (of course in LumaFusion ;) ) I don’t have access to a laptop or computer so I can only use my iPad.

The problem/question I have is that the build in GoPro microphones are not that great and I don’t want to use the GoPro 3.5mm adapter because it will get quite bulky. The solution I found is using the Sony ICD-TX800 Voicerecorder (link:https://www.amazon.com/Sony-ICD-TX800-D ... x800&psc=1)

But don’t know how to get the audio into LumaFusion. Being a student I would of course prefer the cheapest option, if a micro usb to lightning worked it would be ideal, but I think it won’t. I do have an android phone maybe that could help with connectivity?

I’m hoping that you are willing to help me and hopefully provide a good solution!

Kind regards,

Jonahnieuwe

I use a Rode video mic plugged into my iphone to record external audio. The quality is good and as the files are already in the OIS environment they are easy to bring into Lumafusion. I am not familiar with your recorder but if it has a mic out function that could be used with your phone. I am an iphone user so can’t speak to using Android.
