LumaFusion 1.7 is now available in the App Store. This update includes great new features like search and sort in the library, soft edges and curved corners in cropping, and our new integration with Storyblocks, a great royalty-free library of video, audio and sound effects. A sample of clips are included free, with a low-cost subscription available in-app for access to the full library

Hi everyone. Love Lumafusion and just starting out in my own vlogging journey. I’m trying to get around the problem of storage space and shooting in 4K via Filmic Pro on my iPhone 7plus.

Am I able to store clips on a Sandisk iXpand drive and LumaFusion on my iPad read those clips directly from the drive? So in effect, store 50gb of clips on the drive and use my 32gb iPad to read and compile then into a movie?

I keep running out of space fast and thought I could shoot all the 4K I need and incrementally offload then from my iPhone onto the iXpand. Then moving over to the iPad sourcing all the content from the drive instead of having to copy it onto the limited iPad storage.

Many thanks for your input.

Hello EdwardVlogs,

LumaFusion requires that all media has to be on the device in order to edit with it.

Best,
