Hello all,

One area i always been lacking is understanding the use of audio.
In Final cut i use plug ins etc to get around areas such as reduce background or add treble to bass in peoples voices.

I am currently messing around with some video I taken from youtube.
The interviewers are different in all the clips ( i have used IOS screen record)

I like to have more richness and bass to one of the people talking.
How should one go about this using the LF audio side ?

Ps i like an ABC walk through please if possible.

Regards Rob

Hi Rob

You probably know this already but LF only has basic sound features at the moment. The team did add a good selection of filters but then they were removed due to changes made, I believe, by the mighty Apple

So we are stuck with

Bandpass Filter
Delay
Distortion
Dynamics Processor
High Pass
High Shelf
Low Pass
Low Shelf
N-Band
Pitch
Parametric

If you want to take the 'hissiness' high tone of a voice down a bit:

Tap on your audio clip to select it
Tap the briefcase (it will go blue)
Tap edit
Tap the Low Pass filter to add it
Scroll to the bottom blue horizontal bar
Tap the > to open the properties
Adjust the Cutoff Frequency with the slider to change it

Give that a try

It should be okay with just voice but if you want to change the properties of a pre recorded audio track I suggest you do it externally for now

Thank you Dave,

I can feel a dark deep porter ale coming on very soon to ease the nerves :)
Thank you for the post, as I thought my mind was blurred, the past extra audio features are removed understandably understood.

What it is to be creative with restrictions in place by a higher entity.

I say no more :)

Regards Rob
