LumaFusion 1.7 is now available in the App Store. This update includes great new features like search and sort in the library, soft edges and curved corners in cropping, and our new integration with Storyblocks, a great royalty-free library of video, audio and sound effects. A sample of clips are included free, with a low-cost subscription available in-app for access to the full library

I want to make Khan Academy style screen recordings on my ipad pro 12.9 inch, then edit them in Luma fusion. I tried, but my video got cropped.

The reason is that the Ipad uses 2732 x 2048 resolution, whereas Lumafusion is exporting only in 4:3 (I think?).

Is there a way to make this work? I don’t have a lot of options for ipad screen recording: it’s fullscreen only. The drawing apps also display in this resolution, so it’s hard to draw in a 4:3 way. (A couple do have 4:3 canvas options)

Also, if this doesn’t work, is this a “lumafusion doesn’t support it” thing, or is this a “even if you import to FCPx this will be awkward” thing?

Thanks! Ideally I can find a workflow that can be done 100% on my ipad.

Edit: Nevermind, I think my project must have been set on a non 4:3 ratio to start. I made a new project, chose 4:3, and edits fine.

What are you using to capture the iPad Pro screen? Is the resulting file full native screen resolution, or compressed down?
