Hi guys, I’m very tempted by the announcement of the new black magic pocket cinema camera... however it only records in the following formats:

CinemaDNG RAW, CinemaDNG RAW 3:1, CinemaDNG RAW 4:1, ProRes 422 HQ QuickTime,
ProRes 422 QuickTime, ProRes 422 LT QuickTime, ProRes 422 Proxy QuickTime.

Which if any of thes formats are supported by LF? In none, are there plans to be able to work with these in the future?

Thanks,

Sam

Hi Sam

The formats that LF uses are governed by Apple unfortunately

I know that doesn't exactly answer your question but it's the best I can do until the developers get back from Vegas

EDIT:

I don't know if any of these match the ones you want to use

Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 4K, 30 frames per second, High Profile level 4.2 with AAC‑LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio or Dolby Audio up to 1008 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo or multichannel audio, in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG‑4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC‑LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio or Dolby Audio up to 1008 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo or multichannel audio, in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M‑JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format

I would say that using this camera, you would have to plan on adding the step of at least rough color correction and rerendering on a Mac or PC to your workflow.
