Sorry for the difficulty. We'll try to get you back up and running.
First let me verify that you are actually using Pinnacle Studio (which is the latest version of Avid Studio - the Avid product was sold and renamed). These instructions should work in either case (with just some different directories), but we would like to get you upgraded so please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
if you are still using Avid Studio. With an upgrade to Pinnacle Studio you will get new features that your students may enjoy plus continued support and bug fixes.
With Pinnacle Studio (or Avid Studio) you can use a tool like iExplorer (available free from macroplant.com) to directly add, remove and organize photos, videos and audio to the application as well as projects.
To use this feature, download iExplorer from macroplant.com and install it on your OS X or Windows system. When you start iExplorer with your iPad plugged in to your computer, it will show a list of all files on your iPad.
• Find “Pinnacle Studio” under “Apps” and click the arrow to open it. (Or Avid Studio if that is the case)
• Find “Library -> Cashes” under “Pinnacle Studio” and click the arrow to open it.
• Delete the asset_library file(s)
Restart Pinnacle Studio:
• Start Pinnacle Studio on your iPad, and tap on the “Rebuild Library” button at the top of the Library.
Please let us know if this does not work for you, and I will continue to work with you to solve the problem.
