I just purchased Luma fusion app. I recorded a video and tried to import it from my iPhotos but it wasn’t an option. How do I change that? Thanks.

Hi rrisbrudt

Are you actually trying to 'Import' it?

You should be able to see it under 'Photos' / 'Albums' / 'Videos' from within the app and then drag it to your timeline

So you shouldn't need to 'import' it as such. If you're file is in iCloud then the app may need to download it first

Let us know how you get on

I have a similar problem, I think. I import a file from my video camera, which records mpeg4. I can see it in Pictures on my iPad, but the file does not show up in the import-window in Luma ("photos-albums-videos". Other files from other cameras works fine...

Hi jhtomassen

If you can see the video on your iPad then you don't need to import it because it's already there

Can you see it under Moments or Albums?

If you can then you should just be able to drag it to your timeline

(same with audio that shows in iTunes)

Yes, I know I do not have to import when it´s already in Photos. But I can´t see the files in Moments or Albums, that´s what makes it a bit complicated

Ah right

If you have ‘imported’ the file into LF using the import option within LF it will not show in photos or moments

It will show under ‘imported’ (it’s not the same as importing to your camera roll)

Post subject:  Re: How do I import a video from iPhotos?

Hi again! I understand the difference between importing from whatever location, and "import" from Pictures to the project. But the problem is that files I have in Pictures on my ipad is invisibole when i try to find them by choosing Pictures in the source menu. And it only happends with files from a Canon XA-25, shot in mpeg4. Files from any other camera works fine!

But I have noticed that these "trouble-files" neither show up in the Video folder in Pictures on the ipad. They are only visible in "All pictures". So could it be this is the explanation?

UPDATE: Problem solved.... wrong camera date lead to misplaced files....:p They were just put long way down the list!
