I recently came across a LUT pack for iPhone made by The iPhoneographers (iphoneographers.tv). They say that it is specifically made to work with FiLMiC Pro flat or log footage and that these LUTs can be imported into LumaFusion.

Firstly, I am wondering if these LUTs can indeed be imported into LumaFusion?

And secondly, I am wondering what might be the difference between these and the LumaFusion FiLMiC deLog and FiLMiC deFlat LUTs already offered in LumaFusion?

If any of you have any insights or thoughts it would be greatly appreciated! :)

Hi PresidentJade

I have looked at the site you mention and it does say that their LUTs can be used with LumaFusion

What is the difference?

I've absolutely no idea I'm afraid and at $18 (about fifteen quid) a pack, I'm sorry I'm not gonna be downloading them :D :D

However, since it says you can use them, try this:

Tap on a video clip
Tap on the blue briefcase
Tap on edit
In the bottom right hand corner tap on Color & Effects
Tap on the 3d block to take you to LUTs (I think you can miss this step)

Tap on the import icon (the door on the left side of the screen with the arrow pointing inwards)
And that will take you to the import screen - that's how you get them in

But I honestly can't say if they are any good or better - beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Thanks Dave for the quick reply.

I'm going to give them a try. It looks like it's $18 for the combo pack which includes all of their LUTs, and not $18 per pack. With that being said I understand how some folks might not want to spend on LUTS.

I'll give them a try and compare them to those already available in LumaFusion.

Cheers! :)

There are a ton of free LUT packs online. I downloaded 35 free ones the other day and they imported just fine

Indeed, I have noticed there are free LUT packs out there. However, what I think is different about the ones from iPhoneographers.tv, is that they were specifically made to be used with FiLMiC Pro log or flat footage. In fact, I learned about these LUTs from FiLMiC Pro themselves. So far I have tried a few of them with my FiLMiC Pro log footage and I am very satisfied.
