Post subject:  Saving final rendering

Hi everyone,

First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Andy and I’m from The Netherlands. I’m new to this forum, new to LumaFusion and even new to iOS. I was never a fan of Apple products (understatement ;) ) but finding out about LumaFusion (and Procreate) and seeing the tutorials on YouTube I took a jump and bought myself an iPad Pro a few weeks ago. I’ve been playing around with LumaFusion and I really like it, it’s very intuitive. What I don’t like is how you have to import media, through cloud storage or iTunes (but that’s Apple’s iOS I guess, or me! :D ). I use iTunes to import media from my Windows computer because using cloud storage works to slow in my case. You have to have a really fast internet connection to keep the workflow going. There is one thing (for now) that I can’t find out. Is it possible to save the final rendering to the iPad itself or to a local cloud storage (NAS, WD Passport etc.)? It seems that I only can save the final rendering to an internet cloud storage (iCloud, Google Drive etc.). I’ve searched this forum for an answer but I couldn’t find it.

Hi Andy

Welcome to the forum

There's a lot to learn as you're new to IOS but we are here to help

When you are ready to save your masterpiece tap on the icon third from the right at the top of the screen (the door with the arrow pointing out)

Next tap on the Movie icon

And you should see a list of what you can export to (Photos App is your camera roll = on your iPad)

Hope that helps

Hi
Could you tell me where the files end up if you select the destination of ... Rendered Moves Folder? I have exported the finished movie there and now can't find it. :-)

Hi Totus

They end up in the 'Rendered Files' directory :D :D

They are safe, but you can't see them!

I use the IOS Files App

Go to 'On My Phone'
Go to 'LumaFusion'
Go to 'User Media'
Go to 'Rendered Movies'

They will be in there

You should now also have an 'Imported' option under 'Sources'

Your next question may be 'why would I want to put them there'

Well, you may want to render a few clips as one, do something to that clip and then re import it into a new project
That way you are not putting it in your 'Camera Roll'

Does that help?

Is this method only able to export the single clips (as part of the whole project) only possible without
- effects?
- setting export FPS and bit rate?

I need a solution like this, BUT, need for
- render incl. effects
- export settings like normal export of whole projects

Is this possible wih LumaTouch?
