I'm not a professional video editor, so excuse my non-technical terms. However, I've made a few dozen videos in Luma Fusion and haven't had this problem. I have the latest update.

I'm trying to overlay a video clip on top of another. When doing so, I want to keep the audio of the main clip, but make the overlay video take up the whole screen. However, when I'm in editing mode, it shows that the overlaid video takes up the whole screen, but when I export the final video, I see the underlying video underneath the overlay...as if I centered the overlay and didn't cover the whole screen. I've tried everything and can't figure out how to correct it. And it's frustrating because I can't tell if it is corrected until I export it.

Thanks!!

Hello mstreit

would you attach a screen grab of your timeline.

Also, it would be good if I could take a look at your project to see what is happening.

I will email you with instructions.

regards

You could detach the audio from the main video and then cut the parts out where the overlay video is so that there is nothing to overlay on but the audio. I am also a novice so excuse my lack of terminology too haha

Andii51081's method sounds like it would work, that's what I would do
