Hi Team
I'm importing two film edits, one at 30 fps from my iPhone and one from a Dji osmo at 25 fps what would be the best global setting(s) to use and then export?
Thanks in anticipation/:-)

Jeff

Hello rebooter

that's an interesting question for which there isn't a standard answer.

Project set to 25fps, then 30fps footage will drop frames to maintain time.
Project set to 30fps, then 25fps footage will duplicate frames to maintain time.

Which media is the most important to have playback smoothly at normal speed?

If you choose 25fps, then 30fps footage could be slowed down slightly to maintain a smoother playback.

What ever you choose, there will have to be a compromise.

Let me know if you have other questions

regards

Androu Morgan

If I was using my PC editor and I wanted to mix 30p and 25p, I would slow down the 25p to 24p and put it on a 30p timeline along with the other footage. 24p looks great rendered out to 30p as the doubling sequence is very even.

Is there any way to do that sort of thing in Luma Fusion?

I guess you would need to create a new 24p movie with the 25p footage, export at the best quality and then use this newly exported 24p file in your new 30p movie.
