So this huge project from my vacation I’m about to start as a new user to LumaFusion... the mp4 video clips imported from my Sony RX100 are 1080p 50fps

I’m a UK PAL (25fps) user but the only place this final video will be going is on YouTube so the question is should I set the project to 25fps or should I set it to 50fps to match the quality of the mp4 clips?

Will it matter that much once saved and uploaded to YouTube?

Thank you

Hey so with the requested points you won't have any issues and generally you cannot make much wrong.

But of course there are some official recommendations to considered by YouTube, here's the link https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en

Nevertheless, if you would have chosen a wrong codec etc. and the result would be bad, just export your project again with some other settings. For this you also can't do much wrong, LumaFusion is very user friendly.

Hope that helps.

Hi pstockton

Render your file from LumaFusion at the same fps as the original footage if you can

That way you won't drop or add frames so it will be as smooth as possible

... the rest is up to Youtube

Thanks guys - I was leaning towards the same logic and use 50fps and worry about what YouTube does later.

Also great that I can so easily change this and just export again.
