How can I generate a circle, making a person in a crowd be identified by circling his face? I know how to use an arrow....one clip above another. But I don't yet know how to draw. It would be like recording drawing a circle and placing that above the picture on another track. Do you understand what I'm getting at? I've seen it done in documentaries and commercials. Lumafusion is a wonderful app with so many cool features. I just don't know how to use them all yet. If there is a tutorial that fits, just direct me to it, please.

Thanks,

Dom

Hello Dom

There are some limitation of the iOS currently that prevent us from animating a graphic with a transparency layer over video. That will change eventually I'm sure. So for the moment we can't do that sort of animation.

You could create a circle in the Title editor and then get creative with how that circle appears on screen by using an effect of some kind. That's what I would try

As Androu says, you can do this using a shape in the title editor and it works really well as I have done this previously. You can even keyframe it to keep it in place if the subject is moving. You need to select the oval shape, move & size it over the face you want to highlight, reduce the opacity on the shape face colour to 0%, and adjust the edge colour and width to get the appearance of the circle you want.
Let me know if you need assistance with this or a quick video showing how to achieve it.
