I've used freesound.org for a lot of sound bites in the past but does anybody know of a way to save the file to iPad and import them into Luma?
I've found a few workarounds using downloaded apps but the most recent one I've found was from 2012.

Sorry, I should have been clearer.
In the past I've used freesound.org for projects edited on computers.

I've found articles that suggest the use of iDownloader nut that no longer works as apple made them remove the option to download audio and video files.

Another article I noticed suggested an app developed specifically for Freesound called TeaSound but that no longer seems to be on the AppStore.

I just love a way to get sounds into Luma Touch, even into Dropbox or similar so I can impost them in that way.

Hello Officially.Colin

thanks for the details on your process.

So, I don't know of anyway to directly go from freesound to LumaFusion, but LumaFusion can import from Dropbox. Not sure if that helps you at all.
You can get dropbox for iPad, then you can 'export' then 'open in' and choose 'LumaFusion'.

Hope this useful

regards

Thanks, I use Dropbox quite a bit so that feature is excellent and gets used all the time.
But any ideas how to get audio files into Dropbox through the iPad in the first place?with the way apple has everything locked down it's probably not possible but I was hoping someone had a workaround so I don't need to carry my laptop and iPad.

would something like this help:

Dash-i & Dash-i Plus MicroSD Reader for iPhone/iPad
http://www.meenova.com/st/p/dash_i.html

You could save them onto SD card and then import?

I've seen those card readers before. That are great for getting video onto your iPad but can't transfer audio.
What I'm trying to accomplish is getting audio into the app or maybe somewhere like Dropbox so I can import the audio from there only using the iPad itself so I don't have to carry my laptop around just to get studio files

Another problem would be importing audio from an external recorder.
Any ideas how to do that?

Looks like the app suggested in this thread solves the problem
You can save video and audio files then share them to LumaFusion.
