Hi all,
How to delete imported files from lumafusion. Couldn't find any way to do that!
Pls forgive me if this is already asked or if it's a dumb question.
Regards,
DEN

Hi Den

Nope, it's not a dumb question

You will need to delete the project first (this doesn't delete the files) other wise the project will still think it needs them and lock them

Once you've deleted the project, go to the 'Imported' directory

Tap on a file to select it. Then on the right hand side tap on the 'Info >' button

You should then get a 'Delete Clip' recycle bin

You don't have to delete the project.
1. Remove the video clip from the track.
2. Jump back to list with all the projects and into the imported video.
3. Now the video clip isn't locked and you can delete the clip.

Currently we keep track of all used media and show a grey checkmark on media used in another project and a white check on media used in the currently open project. However, both are locked from deleting media so that you don't accidentally delete media that you still need.

We have a feature request to have a setting that allows unlocking media from other projects so you can delete it without deleting the project.

Is there a more efficient way to delete an entire directory of imported files or any plans for one? Deleting multiple clips right now is very tedious and it's almost easier deleting and reinstalling the app at times.

Hi wsrees

See my screen grab at the top of this thread, there is a tick box (circle) top middle

Tap that (it turns blue if I remember correctly) you can the select multiple clips and delete them with 1 tap of the trashcan

There is no way to delete a directory in one go - yet - but it is a feature that is on the to do list
