Hey Team
Really loving your app now, trying to figure out animating some text as the key frame option is missing when using the Title tool, or am I missing something ( again-lol ) ?

Hello rebooter

You are not really missing anything. We don't have the ability to animate text at the moment.
You can of course animate the text as a block using the 'frame and fit' and by adding effects as well.

Animated text is something we plan to do in the future.

Not really animated text, but I wanted to slap down words at the same time as people said them in the video.

Not sure if this is the best way to do it, but I dropped in a titles layer and wrote out all the text as it would lie in the last frame. Then I chopped up the layer into cuts that corresponded to each word (5 words, have 5 cuts). At this point in time all of the cuts will have the full text, that is good for the last cut but not the other 4.

If you just go and delete the words you don't want then it tries to "centre" the text. So what I did was go into the first cut and highlight words 2-5 then drop the opacity. Goto the second cut and drop the opacity for words 3-5, Third cut drop the opacity for 4-5, Fourth cut drop the opacity for 5 and the last cut is the full wording.

It was very manual but by gosh I got it done :)

It's a real pain if you need to move it around though. I guess as long as they're all "linked" to another layer then its not so bad.

Hi FenixSyd

Yep - that's the way I would do it too - at the moment

It's slow(ish) but it works

I posted a video in which is done using Key Frames to control what part of the text is cropped, revealing one letter at the time, but you could do it with words instead.

Too bad that such an important functionality is still not covered by the tool   . I wanted to do some content like Goalcast or Brut with Lumafusion but it took me so long to find a way to do that and it was so painful and clunky that I ended up buying a Spark membership.

Anyway thanks in7ermaster

You can do something similar to that a lot more easily with a wipe transition.

I did it with sequential pictures... Same result.
