Hello,

I would just like to say that I absolutely love LumaFusion with all of its intuitive features and use it on a daily basis.

But I would just like to ask about the next update. When will it be released? What new features is there going to be? And what update number would it be?

I’m sure that you’re very busy working on it and I can’t wait to see it! :D

Sorry if you’ve already said this as I haven’t been active as I’ve been patiently waiting for the update!

Thanks,

LumaFusionPerson

Ah ok thanks for the quick reply!

Hope it comes out soon and brings some great features to compare to FCP and PP which can be used in professional production.

We have been using the same design and layout for quite awhile now so it would be nice to maybe have a bit of a redesign but nothing massive.

I would also like to put in the request for effects like borders and shadowing for videos. And key framing for speed and maybe and option to freeze certain parts of the video.

Can’t wait to see what surprises you have in store for 1.7! :)

Thanks,

Try this

Insert a video clip on your timeline
Scroll to the point where you want to freeze it
Use the scissors to cut your video
Go to the share menu and tap snapshot
Go to your photos
Double tap the snapshot you have just created and it will insert at the cut point
Drag the length of the snapshot to the length you want to freeze for

Play it back

Thanks for trying to help KnobbyDave!

But I know how to do freezes I was just saying maybe if there was an easier way like there is in iMovie to key frame freezes in the video.

But thanks anyway,

• cut the clip at the frame you want to freeze your sequence
• advance one frame and cut again
• select the new 1 frame long clip and enter edit mode
• select the speed editor and set the speed slider to the extreme left to 1/240

In a 30fps project you will now find an 8 second long clip (240/30=8) where the
frame you selected is frozen for 8 seconds.

However, you will experience that you can trim the clip only to multiples of 8 seconds,
which means you’d have to use a second video track above to interrupt the frozen clip
for an early exit. If you just need a shorter timespan for your freeze frame you can
adjust the clip speed to x (x/30=lengthOfYourSpeedClip) in order to keep your speed
clip as short as possible and the available amount of video tracks at a maximum.

A second way to keep your timeline even cleaner is to cut your speed clip with the
scissors tool to the desired length. However, I wouldn’t recommend doing this because
a future update of LumaFusion might break your project, because that seems to me like
unjustified behavior and will probably get fixed in the near future.
